2015 has been a landmark year for Toyota, and the hard work and innovation is paying dividends. In a recent press release, it was reported that the automaker landed at number six on Interbrand's 2015 "Best Global Brands" annual report-- up from number 8, last year; and ahead of all other automobile manufacturers. The brand's value is estimated to have increased 16 percent, to $49 billion.
Toyota released 12 new or upgraded versions of their vehicles, including the Prius, and Tacoma. The latest safety package, Toyota Safety Sense, is available with an automatic pre-collision system; and Mirai, the vehicle at the center of a hydrogen fuel cell project, is nearing a public release.
Commenting on the news, Toyota Marketing vice president, Jack Hollis, said: "Toyota's rise and continued improvement on Interbrand's Best Global Brands ranking reflects our guests' trust in the efforts of our dedicated dealers and team members."
