Performance
The new Toyota RAV4 drops its non-hybrid engines from the previous years and now goes full hybrid with the RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 PHEV. The RAV4 Hybrid features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, two electric motors, and front-wheel drive, all good for 226 horsepower. Add on a third electric motor with all-wheel drive, and that horsepower jumps up to 236.
RAV4 PHEV models feature all-wheel drive as standard, and offer 320 horsepower. If you choose the GR Sport trim, you will receive a RAV4 with a Toyota Gazoo Racing-tuned suspension system and a reworked power steering system. Plus, the Toyota RAV4 can tow up to 3,500 pounds, making it easy to haul a boat down to the river for a lazy day of fishing. With the 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor, you can always see what is under your RAV4 on drives around Horizon City.
Exterior
The exterior of the new Toyota RAV4 lineup offers a kinetic, bold experience. Every body line and contour provides a rugged confidence that is hard to ignore and informs your adventurous spirit. With the Panoramic Moonroof, you can let in fresh air and natural light to your heart's content; the power tilt/slide feature can help you customize how much light and air get in.

Safety
Toyota fans can always expect a vehicle with great safety technologies. The RAV4 is no different. Expect many standard safety technologies, like Automated Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, which applies the brakes in the event your vehicle detects something in front of you. Standard Adaptive Cruise Control will allow you to keep a set distance from the vehicle in front of you and maintain a set speed. Plus, with standard Lane-Departure Warning with Lane-Keeping Assist, you can rest assured you will always stay in your lane, or your vehicle will produce an audible warning and readjust your steering.
Interior
The interior of the new Toyota RAV4 features a blocky theme with rugged good looks and several nice storage options. For example, a low-profile toggle-type lever for the shifter saves space and makes it easier to access items in your cupholders. There should be enough room for adults to get comfortable in any row.
Technology
For technology, expect a standard 10.5-inch display for your infotainment system. A larger 12.9-inch unit is available on a select portion of the RAV4 lineup. Either way, the system and screens are convenient and offer a streamlined experience. For example, the system can support two smartphones connected through Bluetooth at the same time. While base RAV4 models will feature a six-speaker audio system, a nine-speaker JBL system is an option.
