A full-size spare works much like your regular tires, though it may be a bit lighter. It fits in larger trunks and can be driven without special care, unlike a compact temporary tire.

These tires are smaller. They're often referred to as donuts and fit nicely in small vehicles. You must be careful when driving on a donut, though. It's not constructed to be driven for more than about 70 miles, and you shouldn't drive with excessive speed.
