It's 7:00 a.m.

You're stuck in traffic.

You haven't had your coffee yet. Things are going... great.

At long last, like the clouds parting in the heavens, the car in front of you begins to move. You step on the gas, eager to get off the baking-hot roads, and—crash!

It was a false-alarm. The car in front of you hit the brakes again, but you didn't.

This fate could have been avoided if you had gotten a better night's rest, or if you had been more alert, but out of thousands of cars on the road, someone is bound to make a mistake. This time it was you.

Fortunately, there's another answer. While driver awareness is still the number-one safety feature of any vehicle, Toyota Safety Sense is helping take human error out of the equation. The Pre-Collision System, which is part of the TSS suite, warns the driver when a collision is imminent (like when the car ahead of you unexpectedly slams the brakes). If you are unable to react in time to prevent a crash, your Toyota hits the brakes for you, avoiding an impact at speeds up to 25 mph, or reducing the force of impact.
